5 Reasons You Should Open Ampoules with an Ampoule Opener

Ampoules are used by people all over the world. Even people who do not practice in the medical industry use ampoules. As well as doctors and nurses, ampoules are used by: patients who need daily injection, users of certain cosmetics, body builders, and more.

When opening an ampoule, the user is exposed to a number of risks. For this reason, it is important for people to use an ampoule opener when opening ampoules. Using an opener will minimise risks involved with the opening process. Below are the top 5 reasons every ampoule user should have an ampoule opener.

1. Risk of Ampoule Cuts

More than 50% of ampoule users have experienced a cut from a glass ampoule. An ampoule opener offers protection from cuts that a tissue or towel just can’t compete with when it comes to opening ampoules. Using an ampoule opener instead of your hands can save your hands from nasty lacerations.

2. Wastage

The opening process of an ampoule can be rough and wobbly, especially since the user is trying to snap through glass. When opening an ampoule with your hands, the expensive contents can be spilled or even contaminated by small glass shards. An ampoule opener can streamline this opening process to make it easier for the user. This in turn reduces spills and contamination.

3. Shattering

Because ampoules are traditionally made with glass, they can be prone to shattering in the user’s hands during the opening process. This of course is usually caused by faulty ampoules, or pressure being applied in the wrong direction. An ampoule opener can guide the user’s pressure in the correct direction, reducing the chances of shattering. Furthermore, in the instance of a faulty ampoule shattering, an opener can keep the shards away from the user’s hands.

4. Permanent damage

Ampoule injuries are often overlooked as small and insignificant. However, serious injuries related to ampoule opening do occur. These injuries can cut flexor tendons, digital arteries, and more. Cutting these parts of the hands can cause permanent damage and even disability of the hand.

5. Risk of infection

Ampoule cuts can not only cause pain, but are also distressing and leave users susceptible to blood-borne pathogens such as HIV, HBV, and HCV. By protecting yourself from cuts with an ampoule opener, you also reduce the risk of contacting a blood-borne disease.

hello i have a suggestion i hope you consider the ampules instead of the line drawn on it is not better to put a rubber glue between the ampules lid and the bottle itself contains the material??? , that is the lid of the ampules is attached to the glass by rubber adhesive thus preventing the glass particles from falling into the substance in the glass and can be opened by sharpen things because its rubber glue . isn’t that a good thing ???? please respond me via this email its important for humanity
